On various dates in 2021, there were some designs and photographs of Thrashed Apple on certain websites. The photograph shows a potential release date of September 13th, 2021, leaving some people skeptical of its release date. On May 13th, 2021, in a r/MountainDew Reddit post, Thrashed Apple was first leaked by a user named u/jerbilegit2 showing an image of Thrashed Apple in its 12-pack and 20-ounce bottle design. Its tagline is " DEW Charged with Crisp Apple. Thrashed Apple is a Crisp Apple flavor of Mountain Dew and has a light cloudy green look, having a comparable tasting flavor and color to that of Electric Apple. 2.1 Late 2022 discontinuation and subsequent reversal. This is the foundation drink you pounded alongside a Mexican pizza and three Crunchwraps because you don’t have any self control, you monster. This isn’t rolling the dice with calamansi or blood orange. For a drink that clocks in with the same ABV (5 percent) and calories (100) of a White Claw, there’s a whole lot more flavor.Īnd since it’s a pretty solid approximation of Mountain Dew, you already know and probably like those flavors. The aftertaste is a fine layer of Splenda, but I actually am digging it. It tastes almost like the real thing - a little more syrupy, but it’s sweet and there’s only a slight hint of the neutral spirits that give it its 5 percent ABV kick. It looks like a damn Willy Wonka drink, if Wonka wanted to get kids drunk instead of murder them. Once it’s in the glass, a lovely reverse rainstorm of CO2 floats its way to the top of the cup. This pours like regular Baja Blast, fresh out of the Taco Bell tap but with (slightly) less carbonation. It should take about 15 minutes at this rate. I just want to pour it into a 52-ounce cup filled with crushed ice, stick a two-foot straw into it and sip it at a tailgate until I forget I rode two hours to watch a Vanderbilt game. Mountain Dew always made a good diet soda, so the swap of sugar/corn syrup for whatever saccharine substitute they’ve got going on here isn’t especially noticeable.īut I drink those sugar-free versions a lot, so maybe I’m numb to it. This tastes like a soda - I’m not getting any booze in these sips - and a pretty good one at that. This is a sugary delight, and the alcoholic, acidic tang of bad wine or neutral spirits is swept away in that sweetness. It smells like Boone’s Farm, which *further* bums me out. This is only “watermelon,” however, and it bums me out. The non-alcoholic version of this is called “Major Melon,” which sounds like it’s 91 percent of the way to an ’80s adult film title. Summer 2023 was the backdrop for a Baja Blast-themed extension that brings the Hard MTN Dew portfolio up to eight flavors.Īnd, because I am a journalist, I am ranking them. And I clearly wasn’t the only one, as the folks behind the launch haven’t just expanded to new territories - 14 states and counting - but new flavors. When I reviewed it last year I was seriously impressed with the amount of true-to-brand flavor the company was able to cram into each can with a seltzer-style calorie payload (and more booze than a light beer). Instead, we live in an era where we can simply choose to do so. Gone are the days where you had to mix tequila or vodka into your neon green beverage to create that perfect combat margarita taste. And at five percent alcohol and 100 calories, it’s a proper contender to the throne of an ever-expanding hard seltzer/canned cocktail empire. Not the traditional soft drink version, of course, but Hard MTN Dew is a malt beverage true to its original roots. A burgeoning new world of alcohol is upon us.

You can also have it search for codes in images you've previously taken by tapping the floating camera button in the bottom right corner. As soon as the app recognizes a code, a pop-up will show you what it is. Grant it the permission to use your camera, and you're all set for scanning. That's why we recommend an open-source web app instead, accessible on qrcodescan.in. There are tons of apps on the Play Store that allow you to scan QR codes, but many of them come with extra features, advertisements, or shady tracking practices that no one really needs. A few Android One phones have the same integration. Google's Pixel phones have Lens built into the camera app, and you can invoke it by tapping and holding anywhere in the viewfinder - sometimes the URL even pops up as a toast before you start Lens, as seen in the image at the top of this post. There's also a shortcut to the built-in QR code scanner on Samsung phones' Quick Setting tiles, accessible by swiping down in the notification shade. For example, you can enable scanning in Samsung's camera settings or use Bixby Vision. Some phones come with integrated QR code scanners. Each level comes equipped with a way to win the battle, a heroic opportunity like not building any warrens and a tip on how best to approach the situation. Of course, falling into this trap only leads to new conflict that proves to test the player consistently. Each mission moves the story of feast and fodder along in a way that always leaves wanting more. Progressing the story, the difficulty curve ramps itself up vehemently in outstanding fashion. There’s enough diversity among units that there is no shortage of combinations for winning the battle but not the war. It’s instead about focusing on the units at hand and using them in the wisest way possible. Sure, the opposing force might have a unit that is a bit OP in some way, but Tooth and Tail hinders this with its faced-paced nature. This hearkens back to old school RTS like Command & Conquer where the only real advantage was player skill. Instead it’s a completely aesthetic choice, and while it might have been a nice feature to have unique abilities tailored to each army, it seems Pocketwatch Games took this in to mind and wanted a level playing field. What do these leaders have to offer, though? Four opposing armies that inhabit the world - the Longcoats, Commonfolk, KSR or Civilized - choosing one from the other has no beneficial means. This writes the world in such a way that is both entertaining while also bringing a firm social commentary through adorable means. Each leader comes with their own HQ appropriate for who they are and what they represent, fueled by an army more closely resembling a menagerie of animals unique in their own ways. This is the perfect conflict for a civil war and gives Tooth and Tail all the ground it needs to have battles of massacre play out across the theater.Īs the story unravels itself, each leader will eventually be introduced and a bit of who they are will be revealed as well. It is also the driving resource for the entire game: food means wealth and wealth wins wars. No, the creatures that occupy this world embrace their instinct and due to this animalistic mentality of a food chain, it’s a part of society. Put simply, this is the exact opposite of any Disney or Pixar film where the animals live in harmony. Taking on the role of Bellafide, the leader of the Longcoats who have become fed up with the state as it is (the Civilized feasting on the Longcoats meat), it’s now his sole purpose to rise up against this unjust society. Jumping into the story mode of Tooth and Tail, the player is greeted by a powder keg of a civil war in the midst of exploding. Tooth and Tail wants to be understood, being devoured ravenously like the great feast that only the Civilized wait for (reference will make sense). The story will guide the player through every possible scenario it has to throw at them and Tooth and Tail makes sure they know what they’re in for. Like any good RTS it’s important to play through the story to get a basic handle of the game. In the beginning, there was a civil war, and this is where Tooth and Tails story starts. What looks cute on the outside is instead a bloody conflict of civil war that is all too familiar to our own history books. Instead of humans vs humans or humans vs aliens, Tooth and Tail is instead inhabited by an anthropomorphic society of lovable war-torn animals. Who is this flag bearer that needs protecting? It’s one of the leaders of the four playable armies, and the world matched with the character design is outstanding in its own way. Tooth and Tail stands behind one core tenant: “the player’s flag bearer is everything.” It’s with this in mind the player will be controlling the battlefield. Players will have to outwit, outsmart and outlast their opponent whether it be in the story mode or during competitive play. While most RTS are focused on building up enough resources, protecting those resources and then executing the enemy with a sizable army, Tooth and Tail manages to get rid of that idea almost entirely. Tooth and Tail is a plain and simple RTS with an outstanding core idea that changes the genre for endless amounts of destruction and fun. “War… War never chang…” excuse that, war does change, and developer Pocketwatch Games is here to prove it with Tooth and Tail. The game is technically solid, I haven't encountered any bugs or crashes yet. Well worth the €30 so far, just to experience this madhouse of a game. Now I'm the middle of the third level, taking a breather. I finished the second boss a bit earlier and that was quite tough. There's training modules, a shooting range and mini games such as karaoke, a coin operated claw game, ramen eating and a classic arcade shmup. You have three skill trees to up your survivability via XP earned in combat and through mini games.Įverything is packaged in this insane wrapper of a story that defies explanation (so far). High risk/reward with parries, and basic enemies that will quickly take a huge bite out of your health bar if you don't play well. The gameplay is competent but lacks the finesse and polish of better games - hit feel, impacts, movement could all be better. It's practically a B-tier PS3 era action game running on UE4 with some nice lighting here and there. It's exactly what I thought and hoped it would be. I'm honestly having a blast with it so far. So, I finally got around to buying Wanted: Dead since it hit that sweet 50% off I had set as my limit for what I wanted to pay for this. Performance-wise it ran at sop on my not-so powerful pc (3700X and 1660ti), so that's somehting. interesting, but definitely not a full-price Day 1 interesting. The story/dialogue is cringy, the combat's okay, but quite QTE heavy (press E at the end of combo to do extra damage do a perfect dodge to freeze time build up meter to do a QTE super-attack), and everything else is anime as fuck. Oh, I also played the "press X to hold hands" aka "Eternights" demo. But it's got a cyber-doggo that's your guide and assistant, who is just adorable, so can't say no to that. Game crashed towards the end of second level, but it's was a lot of fun up to that point.Ī smaller metroidvania, that's more guns-focused than my usual fare. Grungy sci-fi run and gun that looks gorgeous. The premise is cyberpunk cliche at its finest, but it feels decently executed so far, worth a wishlist. The game uses off-the-shelf character model pack, but I dindn't mind that. You go there, get hired and start running package delivery and infiltrating secure locations, knopcking out guards and avoiding cameras. The owner wants t kick you out, b/c you've got no nanodollars, but someone else pays for your meal and directs you to a fixer who might be able to help you. Decent art style, that's fairly unique.ĢD scrolles stealth action RPG in a cyberpunk city. Occasionally, you need to do platforming puzzles, and there was a chase sequence. The demo is basically about you (a clone) sifting through memories, warping between time periods to and interacting with people to uncover memories. A deity with a myriad of clones, that delve her mind and memories looking for answers. Anyhow, this caused her to stop aging, and 1000 years later, she is the Allmother. A teenager proved immune to the virus (or maybe it caused a positive mutation?). It however doesn't change your "ending"/polaroid like Ren and Nona dating does.In 20147, aliens came and a virus started to destroy the world. There is a part in the current version of the game where Nona and Jonas agree to go on a date. Originally posted by Lodrelhai:I'm excited about the new content, but it also brings up questions. But it does seem a bit not good to have us on an egg hunt when the egg's not in play. So now I'm wondering, was the Jonas/Nona info never official, just fan speculation? If it was official, and is real, is it only available after the upcoming new content release? I don't want to say those of us hunting for that ending have been wasting our time, because I thoroughly enjoy the game and have gotten more insight into the characters while trying to persue it. Admittedly, I heard about this other ending on reddit, so grain of salt, but I thought that was from a dev? And there's several points in the game that hint an ending like this is possible, but it seems like we need at least one more opportunity to make Ren reconsider his opinion of Nona. For months now many players have been trying to get an ending with Jonas and Nona as a couple, based on info somewhereorother that there's a secret or real ending with that result. I'm excited about the new content, but it also brings up questions. Once you get it dialed in though the ride is great. Trust me if you are 4 psi low you will feel the difference the first time you hit a bridge or pot hole. I did do a 2 week trip to the Keys and I probably added about 3-4 psi for my return. The Flex Air Pin Box combines Lippert's time-tested Trailair Air Ride technology with its Rota-Flex pivoting head to significantly reduce fore-to-aft movement and vertical tug-of-war between a fifth-wheel RV and tow vehicle, providing the user a more comfortable ride. Longer trips I would suggest you take a portable air tank or compressor with you I usually carry a full 11 gallon air take just in case. Most trips I am gone only 4 or 5 days and there is no need to add any air for your return home. The bag does seem to loose pressure while sitting but the most I have had to add is about 8-10 psi after it has sat for a month. I have found that after you find that sweet spot check the pressure and the next time you hook up just check to make sure the pressure is right and you are good to go. All you really need to do is line up the arrows with the bottom of the shock cup but truck and trailer must be level and you must come to a gentle stop as to not roll the hitch head forward or backward which will give an inaccurate adjustment. The Flex Air Pin Box utilizes an air bag to absorb road shock. My first trip was about 66 psi but I now have more junk in the front of the trailer. However if your air pressure is not correct you will not enjoy this hitch very much. After four trips with it and putting about 5,000 miles on it I must say I love it. My guess is there will be less maintenance with the Flex-Air, but will it help with chucking as much as the Tri-Glide? Does anyone have the Rota-Flex pin box on there coach? If so are you happy with it? Does it help with chucking? By the way the Flex-Air is about $400 cheaper than the Tri-Glide. The internal air bag and built-in strut work with the rubberized pivoting head to achieve a dramatically smoother ride. Flex Air drastically reduces chucking, absorbs road shock, and minimizes bounce. The Flex-Air uses the air bag and the Rota-Flex pivoting head.
